“My husband and I recently completed a master bath remodel with Blackwood Construction Group, and we could not be more pleased with the process and results. Even though Blackwood was not the lowest estimate, they were the most professional, explaining the process, level setting expectations and providing suggestions based on our space. When Louise Field came to our house for the estimate, we were impressed with her thoroughness. Just the overall interaction from the beginning won us over in the selection process. We determined that Blackwood would give us the “quality” we were looking for, and we were right! They heard what we asked for and we discussed pros and cons with the team, as we changed our mind on the floor tile and metals selected. The Blackwood team was very helpful and even showed us picture renderings of the project. I loved that, to see it on paper drawn out. Our Project Manager Ray kept us informed via email and occasionally by text or phone calls. He answered all of our questions and pointed out minor options we had to choose from, walking us through the pros and cons of each choice. The team (including the subs) were professional, respectful and cleaned up after themselves.

“Blackwood did a terrific job replacing our tired, old deck with a beautiful screened in porch.  The project was completed on time and on budget; but, more importantly, the result was the product of excellent craftsmanship, good project management, and active communication with us.  All questions were answered immediately, and minor adjustments were just taken in stride.  The project manager was routinely on site making sure things were done correctly and the materials were delivered on time.  The owner also regularly came by to both support the crew and to check in with us to make sure we were happy with the work being done.

The result is better than we had hoped.  I highly recommend Blackwood Construction.  They’ll be my first call if I need any more projects done.”

“Blackwood designed, engineered and built a new kitchen and deck for us. Further, they painted and resurfaced the grout in our master bath. The build included tearing down the old structures, (deck and kitchen) removing all appliances, adding walls, repositioning plumbing, adding electrical and more for the kitchen. The existing deck was removed and a custom Trex deck supplanted the old deck. Blackwood made the experience very easy and worked with us through the entire process. From the original owner “Woody” to the super “Greg”, designer “Molly” the process was smooth from start to finish. I was not given any false promises of being the “cheapest” either and found Blackwood to be fair and in the middle. In addition, all of the other skilled craftsman communicated while on the job. If we had changes, Greg and team accommodated and without adding to the bill! We are very pleased with the quality of work that went into hanging kitchen cabinets, barn doors, and laying granite counter tops. I have had friends compliment on the deck and the most often used phrase is “I want one”. We highly recommend Blackwood and will use them again.”
